Project Description
Center for Education and Culture in New Alikarnassos
This project was commissioned to the construction company MMA. in March 2010 and it was a new ground floor storehouse with a basement and a residential floor. The building has a covering area of 207.14 sq.m. and a total area of 621.42 sq.m.
The project involved the construction of the building, the configuration of the surrounding area and the implementation of all the necessary technical works. It is located on a privately owned plot of the Municipality of Heraklion, 316.20 square meters, within the city plan, on Ikaros Avenue.
The Education and Culture Center of Nea Alikarnassos aims to cover the training and education needs of citizens, with priority being given to vulnerable groups living and working in the wider area of the Municipality in order to promote employment.
It will also contribute to the acquisition of cultural awareness and intercultural dialogue with actions that enhance active citizenship at exhibitions, cultural and entertainment events.
